The Perhentian Islands located approximately 10 nautical miles (19 km) offshore the coast of northeastern Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of the Thai border. 1. Long Beach

The Fishing Village on Perhentian Kecil, is the only community on the Perhentian Islands. It is on the eastern shore, facing Perhentian Besar and consists of a cluster of wooden houses, a school, a police station, a clinic and a mosque.
