Redang Island is a group of small islands in the South China Sea, east of Peninsular Malaysia. Somerset is located in protected marine water, also known as the Terengganu Marine Park. It is located about 45 kilometers off the coast of Kuala Terengganu. Next to the main island of Redang many other surrounding islands smaller. The island is surrounded by crystal clear water and beautiful diving possibilities for fans. You can also snorkel around the island; coral reefs are in good health. Redang usually not too crowded, even during local school holidays and public holidays it can get very busy on the island. Because Redang is part of the Marine Park, all visitors have to pay a fee of the RM5 marine park entrance on arrival.
1. Taaras Beach

Taaras Beach offers a more peaceful and relaxing. Privately owned by Taaras Beach & Spa Resort, it is only accessible to people living in the beach resort on Redang. It is only a short distance to the beach Success and offers water activities such as snorkeling and diving. This beach also has a spa nearby so you can always get a massage while soaking up the sun to relax. Since, the beach is privately owned by the resort, no hassle and hurry people, it offers the best environment to enjoy the peace and quiet.
2. Mutiara Beach

Redang Mutiara Beach is privately owned beach by Redang Mutiara Beach Resort offers a relaxing aura for tourists and also it is quite affordable. This beach has crystal clear water and white sand where one gets to relax without too much noise. This beach also has a small cottage that was formed by the Malay style that gives it a touch of Asian tourists long for. Mutiara Beach is one of the best beaches in Pulau Redang offering peace and tranquility.
3. Teluk Dalam Beach

The Gulf Coast is not in the mainstream of the island, but a little to the north of Redang and no doubt one of the best beaches in Somerset provides a great view. This beach is privately owned by the Berjaya Redang Beach Resort. Soft white sand and probably one of the best in the whole country and the water is suitable for swimming. The area is host to many coral reef snorkeling can be a bit of a problem, but overall, this is one beach to visit for your stay in Malaysia.
4. Pasir Panjang Beach

Pasir Panjang Beach is often called white sand beach as long as long it has to offer in the area that stretched long. The beach is open to the public so expect many tourists were playing volleyball and sunbathing. The beach offers snorkeling because it harbors the vast expanse of coral on the left and has a coral reef in the middle. It is famous for new sun and is a center for sun worshipers in Redang.
5. Pasir Kalong Beach

Pasir Kalong is a public beach, but because it is remote and largely inaccessible. There is a boat ride and walk to the beach, but most boat builders can happily drop you at the scene at RM20 (Ringgit Malaysia). This beach does not save the corals, but sand and crystal clear water that is warm enough to enjoy a private swim.
